To get our Autumn season off to a splendid start the choir will once more be heading northwards to meet up for a sing and a jar or two with our old friends of Worrall Male Voice Choir. The occasion is particularly special because Worrall are celebrating their 40th Anniversary and have invited us to join them in Sheffield Cathedral for a celebratory joint concert which will also include New Mill Male Voice Choir from across the county border in West Yorkshire, plus guest contralto soloist Kathryn McAdam.

Concert for Sam Beare Hospice |

On Saturday 17th July Weybridge Male Voice Choir and Treble Clef Ladies' Choir joined forces in a concert in aid of the Sam Beare Hospice in Weybridge. Guest soloist was tenor Andrew Forbes-Lane.
A near-capacity audience, including the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Elmbridge, were entertained at the Catholic Church of Christ, Prince of Peace, Weybridge with a selection of items from each of the choirs' repertoire. Particular highlights of the evening were two sparkling sets from Andrew Forbes-Lane, accompanied by James Brown, singing a wide-ranging programme of items from grand opera to musical shows. The concert ended with three stirring numbers from the combined choirs.
Final proceeds are not yet known but the retiring collection raised a healthy £929 for the hospice. Thank you to everyone who supported this, the final performance for both choirs before the summer break. |

£400 for Save the Children |

The Weybridge Male Voice Choir and Treble Clef Ladies' Choir sang for an hour each at the M & S /Tesco stores at Brooklands, Weybridge on Saturday 24 April, at the end of Save the Children week.
Between them the two choirs helped to raise £408 for the charity. |

Special Guest Artists for our Spring Concert |

An appreciative audience at the Catholic Church of Christ, Prince of Peace, in Weybridge was treated to a rare musical treat at the choir's Spring Concert on Saturday 15th May, when we
welcomed special guest artists from the famous Yehudi Menuhin School in Stoke d'Abernon.

Brass and Voices for WaterAid |

|
Continuing the choir's occasional partnerships with local brass bands we were delighted to join the celebrated Friary Guildford Brass Band in a concert on 10 April at Holy Trinity Church, Guildford, in support of WaterAid. The event raised over £700 for this important charity.
