RECORDING NESSUN DORMA TOMORROW
Andrew’s wife Barbara was originally diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer almost 8 years ago.
After successful treatment until September last year Barbara’s battle against cancer has finally been lost and she is now in palliative care at home with her family with just a few weeks at most left to share.
Andrew and his family are heartbroken but in discussion with Johnny thought it would be touching to record Nessun Dorma especially for Barbara. We aim to do this on Tuesday.
Men of the choir, let’s do it with your kind permission.
From Kevin : Christmas Music:
Kevin will address this library item on Tuesday, he realises that you chaps need time to source the music from wherever stored but needs to know by the rehearsal on 23 Sept of any missing items.
Reminder: Committee Meeting and AGM change of dates.
The next meeting of the committee will now take place on 17th September, and the WMVC Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 14th October, at the slightly earlier time of 19.45.
From Mike: WMVC Website - An extra section 'Choir articles' has been added to the Website to provide articles for those interested in the choir and also Publicity purposes:
To date Mike has included:
VE day 80 years on
VE day 1985
200 years of RNLI
Cornwall 2024
75th (1996) and 90th (2011) Anniversary programmes.
How we coped with Lockdown in 2020.
It is hoped both the choir, and our followers will find these of interest.
That’s it for this week
Les
