Sponsorship

Weybridge Male Voice Choir exists to serve the community through music. With almost 60 members, the Choir has maintained a high standard of performance for more than 100 years and has regularly taken part in international male voice choir competitions.

Locally, our audiences invariably number well over 100. While entertaining the Weybridge community and surrounding areas, the Choir raises funds not only for its own running costs but, most importantly, for a wide range of charities. The Choir also provides lasting comradeship for its members, their families, and a growing group of loyal supporters.

Why Sponsorship Matters

Although the Choir typically raises around £1,000 for selected charities at each of its own concerts, the cost of staging concerts solely for the benefit of other charities now exceeds the fees the Choir can reasonably charge. As a result, these concerts have become loss making for the Choir and increasingly unaffordable for smaller charities…

The Choir is a registered charity, number 108624, and aims simply to balance its books. In a typical year, income of approximately £23,000 is generated through members’ subscriptions, ticket sales from three main concerts, and miscellaneous items. Principal outgoings of a similar amount include fees for the professional Musical Director and accompanist, rehearsal hall hire, transport costs, and other music related expenses.

Join us in bringing music to the community and helping support local charities.
