Vision Statement

Founded in 1921, the Weybridge Male Voice Choir has been bringing people together through music for more than 100 years. Through a programme of 15–20 concerts each year, the choir proudly supports both national and local charities, raising around £15,000 annually for good causes.

The choir is a welcoming, non-audition community committed to continual musical improvement. Members enjoy performing a diverse, engaging, and appropriately challenging repertoire in a friendly and supportive environment. New singers can expect a warm welcome, encouragement, and the opportunity to share in the enjoyment of making music together.

In the coming three years the choir is looking to:

  • Continue recruitment well beyond its current strength of some 60 members and in doing so, improve the balance between its four sections (first tenor, second tenor, baritone and bass).

  • Make a targeted appeal to younger potential members to create a more sustainable future for the choir.

  • Build on its current repertoire, which ranges from traditional male voice choir pieces to popular modern classics.

  • Raise its profile to increase public awareness by improving its website and making constructive use of as many media platforms as possible.

  • As a minimum, maintain its current level of charitable support.
